Timing requires removing the slightest material from the .76 shoulder depth.Get your rifle drilled/ inletted for a good scope mount in case you want to go in that direction. Caliber for a Sharps: I have owned 50-90, 45-70, 45-110 and my current rifle a 40-90SS. Go SS not a bottle neck which kick more. Following the lead of Lee Stone and Manny (aka Mr. January) I had Shiloh put a mercury tube in as well.
