I called Verizon and he said that the phones will probably work there, but it will be 69 cents a minute, plus airtime, plus whatever the local towers charge.The only difference is that Verizon doesn't have it's own cell towers. They have a contract with local carriers to use it's towers. No more $1.79 per minute or lack of data using your phone to send text pictures or surf the internet.
