The Mopar Engine book says to set it @5 degrees +/-2 degrees. When I did this, when I stepped on the gas after connecting everything back up, the engine popped thru the carb. I'm changing all of the ignition parts (wires,plugs,dist. cap,rotor). The Nissan Armada 5.6L firing order is 1-8-7-3-6-5-4-2 The factory put them that way for standardization and to make room for the vacuum canister, but in realty you can put the drive and distributor into any position that suits your setup as long as the tower the rotor ends up pointing at is #1, and then wire the others according to the firing order. 8.
