Hi. I'm new to the forum. I have a coolant temp. problem with my 93 Yukon. A few weeks ago I noticed the temp gauge running about 65c, it normally ran at 95c, & was slow to warm up. Had the thermostat changed and the temp started to fluctuate from 65c to 95c. A infrared temp. gun confirmed this.Hi again, If it is the engine temperature gauge that is going out, then I would start by checking the connections at the engine coolant temperature sensor. Here is a diagram of its location (item 10).
